My Story

My story starts as a young 16 year old entering a barracks in Harrogate for my basic training as a soldier and mechanic in the Royal Electrical & Mechanical Engineers in the British Army. I spent several years in the Armed Forces serving in two conflicts plus a few postings around the UK.

Family life took over with my wife and two wonderful children and time to move on to pastures new creating some stability with jobs and schooling.  We chose to settle in Derby where I initially started work as a senior engineer at the screwfix warehouse in Stoke looking after the cranes and automation for the plant. I was then head hunted by Dematic again as a senior engineer looking after clients such as Amazon, Muller, Tesco's, RS Components plus many others. Having worked there for several years spending many hours on the road I then moved to the new Hello Fresh plant in Derby as the senior engineering shift manager, initially setting up the plant for the largest on-line food companies not only in the UK but Europe too.

RAMAC is now my new venture looking towards the future of renewable energy products I decided to look at Air to Air Heat Pumps and create my own business utilising the experience from my military training and managerial positions focusing on quality and customer service.

Why RAMAC - my boys and I are of course Derby County fans and anyone local to Derby will know they are known as the RAMS tying this in with Air Conditioning RAMAC was born.
